This lovely wedding began at the Old St. Anne’s Church in Long Grove, IA. This church is always one of my favorites with its beautiful stained glass windows and all its glorious history. There are so many neat photo opportunities as the church is nestled in Pioneer Village which is so unique with all its super cute old town building storefronts.
We started the day off at the bride’s parent’s farm. It’s a beautiful location and worked wonderfully to begin all our first look photos with the bride and her father and then the bride and her groom. A first look with a bride and her father is something I’ve incorporated into almost all my weddings. There’s nothing sweeter and heartfelt than a father’s eyes as he sees his little girl for the very first time in her wedding dress. Then as the anticipation grows, we do a first look with the bride and groom if they request it. I always get goosebumps with every. single. wedding! It’s so very special to watch a couple see each other for the first time on their most important day! To capture the groom’s facial expression, and to see the bride twirl around is nothing short of magical.
This couple took the bride’s grandfather’s classic car to the church. It’s such a beautiful car, and it was so cool to incorporate that on their big day!
Once the wedding was finished, we headed to Scott County Park for about 45 minutes to photograph just the bride and groom as husband and wife! I’m so glad we took this time as we were able to capture some beautiful bridal portraits with the warm sunlight shining through the trees. Between the juicy light we had and the love these two have for each other, we were able to capture some amazing portaits for them to treasure for years to come!
This couple held their reception at the Steeplegate Inn. It was magically decorated! Every single detail was perfection. To top it off, the family was so energetic and excited for this couple that everyone was on the dance floor. This always makes for such a fun wedding reception when all the family and friends gather on the dance floor to celebrate the couple!
Thank you so much to this wonderful bride and groom for allowing me to be a part of their very special day!
Please take a look through some of my favorite images from their wedding day.
