You know the old saying ‘Time flies when you’re having fun”?  Well that’s exactly the truth with this little guy!  It seems like yesterday I was doing his newborn pictures, then it came time for his 6 month, and now his one year session!  I can’t hardly believe it!  He has been such an amazing kid to work with for each one of these sessions.  I just love how his whole face lights up when he smiles.  And his personality is to die for!  He truly melts my heart each time I see him.

Let me give you a little background.  This little guy has such a great family.  He has two adorable older brothers and a set of the most amazing parents.  His mom and I went to high school school together and played on the same softball team.  I’m pretty sure his grandpa is one of the best softball coaches around as he coached his mom and I for several summers.  I guess you could say there’s a good chance he’s destined for a sports life as his mom was an incredible softball player and his dad is an awesome sports news anchor for one of our local Quad Cities channels.  Pretty confident it’s in his cards!

In his 6 month session, we did a few of those sports pictures with his Iowa Hawkeyes gear on.  For this one, we changed it up a bit and his mom picked out the cutest little outfit for him!  I just love the bow tie!  It totally fits his charming personality!  Mr. Chase absolutely loved my Radio Flyer prop that I bought along with.  He was so excited when he got to sit on it and take a few pictures with it.  I think it complimented his sweet little outfit pretty well.

In true fashion of celebrating a one year birthday, we simply had to do the traditional cake smash!  I love doing these with the kiddos.  To see them so excited to smash into their cake and get messy is so fun!  And can you hardly believe his mom made that cake!  Mom of the year that’s for sure!
