EEEEK!  I’m so excited to share this engagement session with you!  As a Quad Cities engagement photographer, I get all sorts of requests for unique sessions to really show off the couple in their element for their sessions.  This one was a first for me, and I was so excited when Randi messaged me about doing part of their engagement session at The River’s Edge in Davenport, IA.

You see, this couple was originally from the Quad Cities area and met playing hockey at The River’s Edge.  When Randi mentioned she and Matt would be coming back to the Quad Cities for a short amount of time to visit and wondered if I would be open to doing some pictures at the ice rink, I was all for it!  This was such a cool idea!  I love when we are able to incorporate meaningful locations in engagement sessions.

We started off late in the afternoon when the ice rink wasn’t too busy.  The River’s Edge was really amazing to work with in allowing us to pull out a hockey goal and take up one end of the ice to have our session.  I really, really appreciate how accommodating they were so we could bring this couple’s vision to life.

A little later in the evening, we met once again to do more of their session in a more rural area at sunset when the sun has that nice, golden glow.  It was such a beautiful evening, and the love and emotion was so magical!  I’m so in love with this session.
