As a Quad Cities Family Photographer, I’m always preaching the importance of pictures and saving moments in time through portraits, but I totally understand it’s really difficult to get families together when the family gets older and starts families of their own. I love how this family Made.It.Happen! Everyone was in town together, and we prayed for nice weather since our availability was so limited with travel schedules. And it worked! We did it!
Generation type portraits are really cool to me. It’s something the family can treasure and pass down from generation to generation. Like with all my sessions, we did several setups so this family had different poses to pick from. The session was taken at the family farm, and the lighting was so beautiful that night. When they told me it was out in the country, I knew we’d manage to get some gorgeous shots. The rural setting is my go-to! I love the peacefulness, and how you can capture the family in a very relaxed environment.
And check out these kiddos! They are so cute! The little guy was on demand. I’d ask him, “Ready?”, and then he’d sit up and flash that charming little smile! He’s so adorable! He really loved blowing the dandelions, so we had to get a picture of that. He thought that was pretty cool when I showed him the back of the camera so he could see what we were capturing. Then the Little Miss was pretty happy when she got Grandma’s necklace. And her hair…Ahhhhh….I love all those natural curls! She’s so pretty!
Check out a few of my favorite images from their session.
