When I chatted with this bride for our initial consultation, she mentioned their wedding would be held at the gorgeous Eagle Point Lodge in Clinton, IA.  As much as I enjoy being a Quad Cities wedding photographer, I love to travel to areas outside of the QC to photograph couples at new venues.  The Eagle Point Lodge was renovated over the summer, and let me tell you, it’s so intimate, romantic, and simply stunning!  I was ecstatic to work with them and photograph their special day at this location!

I have really enjoyed getting to know Trish and Aaron.  They compliment each other so well, and you can feel the love they have for each other.  I knew from the first time I spoke with Trish, that their wedding would be gorgeous and that they were going to be super easy to work with.  That definitely held true!  Every detail was thought about and selected perfectly!  And her shoes….I’m so in love!  The whole wedding from the colors, to the details, to the gorgeous day was perfect!

We did all the pictures before the ceremony, and the first look was so sweet.  I swear those first looks always make me tear up!  They are so romantic, and the look on the groom’s face is priceless!  We then moved into all the bridal portraits, wedding party portraits, family portraits, and then the bride and groom were tucked away before the ceremony.

The ceremony was super intimate and so amazing.  They each recited vows that they locked into a case along with a bottle of wine.  They can then open this each year on their anniversary and read their love letters from each other and then fill it back with a new letter and bottle of wine for the following year.  I am in love with this idea.  It’s so, so sweet!
