This gorgeous wedding was held at the incredible Jumer’s Casino in Rock Island, IL. Everything was perfect! The couple looked amazing, and the venue was gorgeous! Being a Quad Cities Wedding photographer has to be one of the best jobs around as you get to go to the best venues in the QC to shoot weddings!
This couple had their ceremony and reception in the event center at the casino, and it was truly beautiful. They each got ready in one of the casino’s hotel rooms which was perfect to do all the getting ready shots I typically do for couples.
After the couple got ready, we went to several different spots around the casino to do the bridal portraits, family portraits, and just some fun candid pictures. Jumer’s has several different areas to utilize including a really nice pond that shoots so nice at sunset.
The ceremony was really an emotional one. You see, the bride has a daughter and the groom has a son and a daughter. The kids stood up with the bride and groom, and together they all took part in the ceremony vows uniting them together. It was really special!
After the ceremony, we stepped outside for some of those incredible sunset shots! These are always my favorite as the sunset lighting has that warm golden glow that creates the most magical portraits for the couple.
One other very special thing to add, is that this couple lives in the Rockridge School district, and the bride is a school teacher there. She wanted to incorporate many of the Rockridge graduates who specialize in different areas of the wedding industry (including myself) in their wedding. It was so great to work with other Rockridge graduates from many different graduating classes. I thought this was so neat of this couple to keep everything local and close to home for them. I can say I was truly honored to be a part of this very special day for them. I wish them many, many, many years of happiness!
