I’m beyond excited to share this absolutely gorgeous and rustic wedding with you. It was incredible. Everything from the delicate details, to the antique decor, to the personalized touches were right on point for this couple and the venue located Parker Run Vineyards Big Red Barn in New Windsor, IL.
I was asked to second shoot this wedding by a photographer based out of Denver, Co. The bride and groom are part of her family, and she knew she wanted a second shooter to help capture all the exciting moments of the day. Let me tell you, she was amazing to work with! It’s always a little intimidating working with another photographer, especially as great as this one, as each of us could have completely different visions for what we find as beautiful wedding images. From the first time we chatted over email and the phone, I knew we’d be able to have a similar look and feel and shooting style to give this bride and groom the most magical wedding portraits. It was so much fun!
The wedding ceremony and reception was held at the incredible Parker Run Vineyards Big Red Barn in New Windsor, IL. New Windsor is a small town just south of the Quad Cities, and it provides some of the most incredible views at this location. (Fun fact – New Windsor is home of ‘The Biggest Little Rodeo’, and my brother and sister and I rode in the New Windsor Drill Team during the 3 day rodeo that takes place in this town. It’s so awesome, and if you’ve never been, you’re totally missing out! And I may have been the fair queen just a few short years ago…ok, maybe more than a few years ago, but we’ll just pretend!)
Back to the point…the ceremony was held outside down near the pond at the location and then the reception was held in the Big Red Barn. Everything was magical! A family member played the guitar as the bride walked down the aisle. Another family member married this couple. This bride and groom selected the most amazing flowers, centerpieces, outfits for all the wedding party and the ring bearers and flower girls. I am in love with how family oriented they are and their impeccable taste in every single detail. It was beautiful and truly magical.
Please take a look at some of my favorite images from their special day that I captured, and thanks so much to the main photographer and the family for allowing me to second shoot this wedding. I had the best time, and it was great getting to know each of you! And seriously….this was the hardest task to narrow these down to just these to show you all. And I couldn’t decide between color and black and white on some of them so I put them both in here. Let me know your thoughts on your favorites by commenting below!
If you or someone you know is planning their wedding day, feel free to message me so we can chat about the photography packages I offer! I look forward to hearing from you!

Dad and daughter first looks are always something I incorporate into my weddings. I love seeing how the dads react to seeing their little girls in their wedding dresses. It’s really a priceless moment!
After Dad sees his daughter, then it’s time for the groom and bride to have a first look with each other. These are always so magical as well!
