As a Quad Cities engagement photographer, I absolutely love hearing about couple’s stories on how they met, all their exciting wedding details, and everything in between.  I’m a HUGE romance movie fan, so photographing couples is literally like telling a love story through images.  It’s so much fun!

This couple, Tony and Sarah, love to go boating, and I had this idea in my head for awhile now of doing an engagement session in a boat in a pond at sunset.  When I told them my idea, I was overjoyed when they agreed to it!  It was so much fun!

Tony paddled them out to all the spots I requested, and well, it was super windy that day!  So trying to stay in one spot was a little challenging, but he was totally accommodating to all my requests!  I can only imagine the subtle things he was whispering to Sarah as I kept requesting different spots for them to be in, but he was a total trooper!  He even gave me a ride from one side of the pond to the other so I didn’t have to walk all the way around – lol!

We used several different spots this location has to offer to create a nice variety in their gallery.  There’s a barn on the property, the pond, the tall grass…it’s really pretty.  This is a farm my parent’s own near Aledo, IL, and it’s absolutely breathtaking at sunset.  It’s also super nice having all the privacy for couple’s to really relax and get those natural moments and connections without having lots of people and distractions around.

This couple will be getting married late September, and I’m so excited for their wedding day.  These two were so laid back and relaxed for their session; I just know their wedding day will be amazing and filled with lots of fun!
