As a Quad Cities family photographer, I love the fact that I get to work with families from all around the QC.  This family session goes down in the books as one of my favorites for so many reasons!  They have to be the sweetest family!  Mr. Jake turned two, so we combined his two year session with some family pictures.  And what is more fun than doing pictures on your actual birthday!?!?!  I was so honored they spent an hour or so with me on the evening of his birthday, and he did such an amazing job.

We selected the location that is one of my favorite places to shoot in.  It’s a big open field, the sun falls through the trees from the west and creates the most amazing, sparkly look in the background.  It’s so peaceful and quiet, with no distractions.  This allows the little ones to run around and explore, and I get my cardio in chasing them around capturing those really fun candid shots!  Then to top it off, the color choices this mom selected for her family were right on point for creating the most gorgeous family portraits.

One of my favorite things about this family is their playfulness.  They are so relaxed, and you can see just how much they love and enjoy their little man.  That’s what parenthood is all about, and I’m quite certain you’ll see this reflected in their portraits.  Great job you guys, and thanks so much for selecting Amanda Oakes Photography to capture your family portraits!
