I have the extreme pleasure of introducing you to Mr. & Mrs. Lee!  These two hold a very special place in my heart.  They are a pair of the most down to earth, friendly, hilarious, and simply put….best people to get to know.  They have been amazing to work with for this entire process.  From the start of talking about wedding packages, to their engagement session, to the actual wedding day, they have been such a pleasure to work with, and I’m truly honored they selected Amanda Oakes Photography to capture their wedding day.

These two had their ceremony and reception at the RiverCenter in Davenport, Iowa.  It was MAGICAL!  Everything from the rustic decor, to the twinkling lights, to the beautiful bride and groom and wedding party.  Everything was perfect!

We began the day photographing all the little details so they have a keepsake to remember the entire day from.  Then we moved into the wedding party pictures, and let me tell you…I think this wedding party could be on bridal magazines!  They all looked amazing!  Then we moved into a first look for the bride and groom.  This is a very special time for the bride and groom to see each other before the ceremony begins.  It’s such a neat time as the bride and groom can take a moment to simply see each other for the first time, and for me to capture their bridal portraits without everyone around.  They can just enjoy some time to themselves before the rush of the day sweeps them away.

Once we wrapped up all the formal pictures that needed to be done ahead of time, I went into the RiverCenter to check out the ceremony and reception area.  It.Was.Magical!  All the lights, the candles, the decor…stunning!  Not a detail was missed!  And so it began…the bridal party entered and then the bride’s brothers walked her halfway down the aisle, and then her father took her the remainder of the way.  It was such a beautiful ceremony, and the reception to follow was incredible.  Everyone was dancing and truly enjoying themselves.  And to top it off, the anniversary dance was very long lasted by the groom’s grandparents.  If I’m not mistaken, I believe it was 71 years they have been happily married.  That’s incredible and so sweet!  It was definitely a wedding for the books.  It was so elegant, rustic, and stunning.
